Denel (Pty) Ltd is South Africa’s state-owned defence and aerospace company, established to support national security, defence capability, and strategic industrial capacity. Operating under the oversight of the Department of Public Enterprises, Denel is involved in the development, manufacture, maintenance, and support of defence-related systems and technologies.
Denel’s activities span landward defence systems, aerospace and aviation services, missile and weapon systems, and advanced engineering solutions. The company serves the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) and also engages in selected international markets, subject to government policy and regulatory approvals.
In addition to its defence mandate, Denel contributes to industrial skills development, research and development, and the preservation of critical sovereign capabilities.
